Musk also short of money? His Artificial Intelligence Company xAI Seeks $1 Billion Investment

According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), theMusk(used form a nominal expression)artificial intelligence (AI)newly established enterprisexAIplans to raise up to $1 billion through an equity offering. The company has raised nearly $135 million from four investors, documents show.

xAIMusk is one of the founders of a new artificial intelligence company. The company's stated mission is to "understand the true nature of the universe" and is dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence.

Last month, xAI released a chatbot called Grok, which is best characterized as having a sense of humor compared to other chatbots. In a post on the X platform, Musk said that Grok can access information in real time through the X platform, which is an advantage that no other model can match.

It's been reported that xAI plans to open up access to Grok to X's Premium+ subscribers in the next week or so, prioritizing those who subscribed earlier.

The funding will provide xAI with additional financial support to advance the development and application of artificial intelligence technology. Although xAI is a start-up company, the addition of Musk has brought the company into the spotlight in the AI space.
