Huawei's new foldable phone is here too! Huawei Mate X5 Folding Screen Phone Announced, Pre-Orders Opened

Huawei (brand)Today inHuawei (brand)Mall shelves the new Mate X5 folding screen phone, and began accepting pre-orders, with an official deposit of $1,000 required, although the price has not yet been announced.

According to Huawei Mall's configuration information, while Huawei has yet to reveal the processor model of the Mate X5, the handset is expected to be powered by at least the same Kirin 9000S processor as the Mate 60 series, and possibly even the rumored Kirin 9100.Other configurations are basically the same as the previous Mate X3, and come preinstalled with the Hongmeng HarmonyOS 4 system.

In addition, Huawei officially revealed that the Mate X5 folding screen phone has the following features:

- The Mate X5 Collector's Edition has a peak brightness of 1800nits on both the inner and outer screens and supports 1-1800nits brightness adjustment.
- The Mate X5 has a peak brightness of 1200nits on both external screens, while the 16GB RAM variant has a peak brightness of 1800nits on the internal screen, and the other RAM variants have a peak brightness of 1000nits on the internal screen.
- The Mate X5 Collector's Edition features a 1-120Hz LTPO Adaptive Refresh Rate screen on both the interior and exterior screens.
- The Mate X5 also features a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate on the external screen, while the 16GB RAM variant has a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen on the internal screen, and the other RAM variants have a 60/90/120Hz LTPS adaptive refresh rate screen on the internal screen.

The Huawei Mate X5 foldable screen phone is available in a variety of color and storage configuration options, including 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB Collector's Edition and 16GB+1TB Collector's Edition. It's worth noting, however, that only six months have passed since the Mate X3 folding screen phone was announced in March of this year. The Mate X3 features a 6.4-inch flexible OLED exterior screen and a 7.85-inch foldable flexible OLED interior screen, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ 4G processor. Its starting price is $12,999.

This series of new developments demonstrates Huawei's continued efforts and innovation in the folding screen phone market, and the release of the Mate X5 signals that users can expect even more advanced technology and features.
