According to 9to5google, sources familiar with the situation have revealed that the Charge 6 looks almost identical to the Charge 5, with the only difference being the addition of a physical button on the left bezel. In the Charge 3 and 4, Fitbit used a pressure-sensitive button that gave tactile feedback when pressed. The Charge 5, on the other hand, switches to a full-touch user interface, with taps and swipes to operate the Fitbit UI.
The Charge 6 will follow the design of the Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4, returning a physical button to quickly return to the clock screen or wake up the screen. The main selling point of the Fitbit Charge 6 is reportedly support for theGoogle Internet companyapps and services such as YouTube Music, Google Maps, and other basic tools include an alarm clock and viewing phone notifications.
The Fitbit UI hasn't changed much on the Charge 6, with apps located on the left and right sides of the clock screen, which can be accessed by swiping down to open Quick Settings. Swiping up takes you to the Today view, which allows you to see data like heart rate and sleep duration, as well as the date and battery percentage. Additionally, the Charge 5 was released in September 2021, and the Charge 6 is expected to be released during the holiday season, considering that there's already a Fitbit device that's FCC-certified.
