NVIDIA joins forces with Japan's Softbank and others to develop generative AI

December 4NVIDIA, computer graphics card companyCEO Jen-Hsun Huang held a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo. After the talks, Jen-Hsun Huang revealed in an interview that NVIDIA plans to partner with a number of organizations includingSoftbankJapanese companies, including those in Japan, collaborate to develop generativeAI. The partnership also includes cloud service providers Sakura Internet Inc. and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (NTT).

Jen-Hsun Huang said that by combining generative AI and Japanese manufacturing expertise, the future of robotics is expected to be revolutionized in Japan. He emphasized Japan's potential in the semiconductor industry, citing Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's desire for NVIDIA to provide Japan with as many GPUs as possible, and Jen-Hsun Huang promised that NVIDIA would do its best to prioritize Japan's GPU needs.

Speaking about the impact of generative AI on local industry, Jen-Hsun Huang and Fumio Kishida explored how next-generation AI will open up opportunities for Japanese industry. They emphasized the need for Japan to own its own data, build its own AI factories, and produce its own AI intelligence. This means that Japan is realizing that in order to succeed in AI, it cannot just rely on AI technology from other countries, but should develop its own AI industry.

This partnership is an important step for NVIDIA to promote its AI technology globally. By partnering with leading Japanese tech companies, NVIDIA can further expand its reach, drive the development of generative AI, and lay a solid foundation for the future of the robotics industry. NVIDIA's collaboration with companies such as Japan's Softbank will inject new energy into the development of generative AI. With the continuous progress of technology and growing market demand, we have reason to believe that the future of the robotics industry will be greatly developed in Japan.
