Aliyun open source Qwen-VL visual language model, more suitable for Chinese users of multimodal applications

Recently.AliCloud (computing)s Magic Match community announced the open source of a visual language model called Qwen-VL. The model is based on Qwen-7B, a 7 billion parameter model of Tongyi Qianqi, and has the ability of graphical input and multimodal information understanding, which is more applicable to the needs of Chinese users.

Qwen-VL adds some important new features to the Qwen-7B based model, including visual localization and text understanding in images. This means that Qwen-VL can accept images and multilingual text as input, further enhancing the model's multimodal processing capabilities. This innovation allows Qwen-VL to better adapt to the needs of Chinese users, providing them with more accurate and comprehensive information understanding and processing.

The open source Qwen-VL includes two versions of the generic model Qwen-VL and the dialog model Qwen-VL-Chat. General model Qwen-VL has a strong multimodal information understanding capabilities, can be widely used in image recognition, text understanding and other fields. The dialog model Qwen-VL-Chat focuses on quickly building dialog applications with multimodal capabilities, featuring fast reasoning speed and low resource consumption.
