milletMobile Xiaomi's newly announced 13T series of phones rocked the German capital Berlin, including the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro smartphones. The series bears a clear resemblance to the Redmi K60 Ultra for the Chinese market, but features significant improvements in camera hardware and water resistance, making it the first time that the T series boasts an IP68 level of water and dust resistance certification.

The Xiaomi Mi 13T is powered by a 4nm Tengui 8200-Ultra chipset with LPDDR5 RAM, offering either 8GB or 12GB of memory options, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone comes with a 6.67-inch straight OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, Full HD+ resolution, and peak brightness of over 2,600 nits.

The Xiaomi Mi 13T has a striking rear camera with a Leica triple camera system. The main camera is a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor with a 1.22-micron individual pixel size, optical stabilization, and an f/1.9 aperture. It also has a 50-megapixel "portrait" telephoto camera with a 50mm-equivalent lens. The third camera is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens that uses a 15mm equivalent f/2.2 lens. Users can choose between Leica Authentic Look (for true color reproduction) or Leica Vibrant Look (for more vibrant colors) modes, depending on their needs, while the custom shooting styles of the 13 Ultra are also available in the new camera's Pro mode.

For the front camera, the Xiaomi 13T packs a 20MP selfie camera located in the front perforated area, but does not support autofocus.

The phone has a built-in battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports 67W wired charging, charging from 0 to 100% in just 42 minutes, which is a drop in charging speed compared to the 12T's 120W.

The Xiaomi Mi 13T is available in three stylish color options, including Meadow Green and Black with a glass back panel, while Alpine Blue is made with BioComfort vegan leather.The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at €650 (roughly Rs. 5,038).

Compared to the standard version, the Xiaomi 13T Pro features the same size 6.67-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, but is powered by the more powerful Tengui 9200+ chipset.

The camera system on the Xiaomi 13T Pro is the same as the standard version and includes a 50MP+50MP+12MP Leica rear camera, a 20MP selfie camera and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The 13T Pro offers a choice of 12GB or 16GB of RAM and features faster LPDDR5X memory, and for storage, three different options of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB are available.

Another notable difference between the two phones is the charging speed, with the Xiaomi 13T Pro supporting an impressive 120W fast charging, charging from 0 to 100% in just 19 minutes.

Both the new models come with dual speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology and come pre-installed with Android 13-based MIUI 14. The Xiaomi 13T Pro is available in the same Meadow Green, Black and Alpine Blue color options as the standard version, and the 12GB/256GB variant has a starting price of €800 (roughly Rs. 6,200). The launch of this series marks Xiaomi's continued commitment to high performance and innovation in the global market.
