Apple releases MLX (open source model running software framework) to the public

Yesterday.pomegranates machine learning research team has released a new open-source model running software framework called MLX, an efficient machine learning framework designed specifically for Apple's M-Series chips to enable deep learning training more effectively on devices equipped with M-Series chips.

According to the GitHub homepage, MLX includes Python APIs and C++ APIs with composable function transformations for automatic differentiation, automatic vectorization, and computational graph optimization. The framework uses inert computation, dynamically builds computational graphs, supports multiple devices, and unifies memory.

Jim Fan, a senior scientist at NVIDIA, pointed out that this could be Apple's first step in open source so farartificial intelligence (AI)The biggest move in terms of The move shows Apple's commitment and dedication to open source, furthering the development of artificial intelligence.
