Once a charging network is selected, the Maps app will provide users with real-time availability information for charging stations, including the total number of available spaces at a given station and the number of occupied spaces.

Three years ago at WWDC 2020, Apple announced that it would offer an "EV Routing System" for electric vehicles. However, it wasn't until nearly two years later that the feature became available for the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Previously, it was reported that once connected to a CarPlay-enablediPhoneEnabling this feature on the app allows users to create new navigation routes and view the vehicle's estimated remaining range on their phone at the end of the trip. Additionally, the Apple Maps app supports automatically adding EV charging stations to stops along the way.
