Samsung and Microsoft team up to develop AI chatbots to boost enterprise efficiency

According to Korea's Electronic Daily, global tech giant Samsung is working with tech giantMicrosoft corporationCollaborate on the development of an advancedartificial intelligence (AI)(AI) chatbot, designed to improve productivity within the company.

The project is named "In-house Generative AI Development" and involves an AI that will be able to handle a range of complex tasks, including document summarization and translation. Notably, the AI chatbot will useMicrosoft corporationAzure OpenAIThe service's two large-scale language models - "GPT-4″ and "GPT-3.5″ - were developed. Both models were developed by the world-renowned artificial intelligence research organizationOpenAIdeveloped, they have very high accuracy and comprehension in the field of natural language processing. The project is currently in the proof-of-concept phase.

Previously, Microsoft had signed an exclusive license agreement with OpenAI, which included an important clause that OpenAI must run on the Azure Cloud and be available on the Azure Cloud when providing services to enterprises. Therefore, if Samsung wants to utilize OpenAI's LLM for its own AI development, it will have to choose to work with Microsoft and use Microsoft's Azure Cloud services.

In addition, Samsung recently filed trademark applications for "Gauss" and "Gais" with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. These two trademarks could be used for the AI chatbot being developed. If these trademarks are approved, it will be the first time that Samsung will use its own brand name in its products. This also hints at the importance Samsung attaches to this AI chatbot.

Overall, this partnership between Samsung and Microsoft will potentially push the boundaries of AI technology in enterprise applications and may also set a good example for other tech companies.
